Court News: Ain’t Misbehavin’?

By September 25, 2014No Comments
Court Watch NOLA’s court news roundup includes lots of alleged misbehavior this week. Congratulations to District Attorney Cannizzaro, who was re-elected after the Supreme Court ruled that his challenger was ineligible to run because he failed to show that he timely filed his recent tax returns. And the race for Section D got crazier when WDSU recorded Judge Marullo allegedly offering one of his challengers a courthouse job in exchange for dropping out of the race, though the Judge insisted that he was “setup.” Another potential corruption story also made the news, with yet another Criminal Court Clerk’s office employee being charged in an ongoing investigation into bail bonds practices at the courthouse.
